A team consists of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 people. A 500-piece puzzle and a 1000-piece puzzle are placed.
The second puzzle may only be started when the first has been completed and the completeness has been confirmed by an official. If a team decides to change a puzzle even though the first puzzle has not yet been completed, the first puzzle must be completely dismantled into individual pieces and packed into the box. This completion must also be confirmed by an official before the second puzzle can be started.
The winner is the team that completes the puzzles in the shortest time.
If no team completes all the puzzles, the team that has placed the most pieces correctly within the time limit wins. All connected pieces are counted from a group size of 3 pieces.
The participants may keep the puzzles.

* The prize includes the payment of travel expenses per person to participate in the Puzzle World Championship 2025, including travel to and from the event, hotel accommodation and participation fee up to a maximum amount of 2.000 €. The prize is non-transferable. Prizes will not be paid out in cash. In the event of non-participation in the World Cup, the prize will be forfeited.
