By public transport:
You can reach Leonberg by train from Stuttgart. Take the S-Bahn S6/S60/S62 in the direction of Weil der Stadt. Due to the Stuttgart 21 construction site, some S-Bahn trains only run from Zuffenhausen. You can take the S4/S5 lines to Zuffenhausen and change there to the S6/S60/S62 in the direction of Weil der Stadt. Alternatively, you can take the S-Bahn S1-S6 to Feuersee, from where bus line X2 takes you to Leonberg.

Plane/long-distance bus: From Stuttgart Airport, bus line X60 takes you to Leonberg.
The Stadthalle is within walking distance of the station, but a few metres away. However, there are also various bus lines that stop at Leo-Center or ASG (Albert-Schweizer-Gymnasium).

By car:
Leonberg is located at the Leonberg motorway junction between the A8 and A81 motorways; coming from Heilbronn and Munich, take the Leonberg Ost exit, then head towards the centre via Berliner Straße to the Stadthalle. From Karlsruhe, take the Leonberg West exit and follow the signs to the centre. Parking is available next to the Stadthalle for 3 euros per day.

Participants and spectators must provide their own catering. The Leo-Center, a large shopping centre with catering facilities, is located in the immediate vicinity. There is a Greek restaurant in the Stadthalle Leonberg. Drinks and snacks can be purchased in the hall.

There are several hotels in Leonberg. Right next to the Stadthalle is the Hotel Plaza Inn Leonberg. A little further away is the Hotel Hirsch in Leonberg-Eltingen.

General rules

Only participants and officials (persons authorised by the club) may enter the competition area.

Participants must be on site 15 minutes before the start of the competition.

Participants under the age of 18 are generally admitted. They must be accompanied by an adult. To take part in the individual competition, children under the age of 14 in particular should be able to solve a 500-piece puzzle independently in the required time and have already done so several times if possible.

If a participant does not turn up, the club reserves the right to nominate participants at short notice, e.g. on the basis of a waiting list.

Until the presenter announces the start of the competition and the stopwatch starts, the puzzle boxes may not be manipulated, unsealed or opened.

Officials will monitor the competition and record the times of the competitors. If a competitor / pair / team is close to completing a puzzle, they should raise their arm to alert an official to record the time. After checking for completeness, the official will record the time and pass it on to the head judge.

After completing the puzzle, participants may leave the competition area early, taking all their belongings with them and taking care not to obstruct other participants. At the end of the competition, all participants should leave the competition area with their belongings so that it can be prepared for the next competition.

If pieces are missing at the end of the puzzle, 10 seconds will be added to the final time for each lost piece.

If the puzzle is not completed in the allotted time, the officials will count and note the correctly placed pieces.

Sorting aids or plates may be used as aids. Box top holders are also permitted. Headphones are permitted as long as they do not disturb other participants.
The participants themselves must bring their own aids.

Items that change the height or arrangement of the tables are not permitted. Additional light sources are not permitted. Templates that represent the puzzle manufacturer's pattern are not permitted.

Any assistance during the competition from a person other than the participant may result in the participant being disqualified.

All puzzles used in the competition are the property of the participants at the end of the competition.

The decisions of the judges during the competitions are final.

The organiser points out that pictures and film recordings will be taken during the event and that these may be published on the Internet or other social media. By participating in this public event, a participant waives his/her "right to his/her own image".

The organiser is not liable for loss or theft of items of any kind.

In the event of cancellation or postponement of the championship for reasons beyond the control of Puzzleverein Deutschland e.V., Puzzleverein Deutschland e.V. shall not be liable for any indirect expenses incurred by participants, with the exception of registration fees paid.
