Only participants and officials (persons authorised by the club) may enter the competition area.

Participants must be on site 15 minutes before the start of the competition.

Participants under the age of 18 are generally permitted. They must be accompanied by an adult.

If a team does not turn up, the club reserves the right to nominate a team at short notice, e.g. on the basis of a waiting list.

Until the start of the competition is announced and the stopwatch starts, the puzzle boxes may not be manipulated, unsealed or opened.

Officials will monitor the competition and record the times of the participating teams. If a team is close to completing a puzzle, a team member should raise their arm to alert the officials so they can record the time. After checking for completeness, the time is noted by the officials and passed on to the main referee.

Once the puzzle has been completed and checked for completeness, the next puzzle can be started immediately. The team itself decides whether to remove the completed puzzle completely from the table for the time being. The risk of mixing up the puzzles or losing pieces is the responsibility of each team.

If pieces are missing at the end of the puzzle, these are noted when recording the time and taken into account when determining the total number of pieces placed.

If the last puzzle is not completed in full, the officials will count and note the correctly placed pieces.

Sorting aids or plates may be used as aids. These must be brought by the teams themselves. Box top holders are also permitted. Headphones are permitted as long as they do not disturb other participants.

Objects that change the height or arrangement of the tables are not permitted. Furthermore, additional light sources and templates that represent the puzzle manufacturer's pattern are not permitted.

Any help during the competition from a person other than the active team members may result in the team being disqualified.

All puzzles used in the competition are the property of the teams after the competition has ended.

The decisions of the arbitrators during the competitions are final.

The organiser points out that pictures and film recordings will be made during the event and that these may be published on the Internet or other social media. By participating in this public event, participants waive their "right to their own image".
