Who would like to help?

We especially need people who can walk around during the competitions, see who finishes next and write down the times.

Please also welcome accompanying persons who are not actively speed puzzling themselves.

All helping persons will receive a Linn Schiffmann ART puzzle of their choice as a thank you.

If you are interested, please write to me at: info@linnschiffmann.de

:) :) :)

Greetings,

Linn

Questions for TSC Eintracht Dortmund:

With a wheelchair you should be able to get everywhere, shouldn't you?

Yes, we have a lift directly in the middle section of the grounds. All levels are connected by this lift. It is located „behind“ the site plan in the main entrance area. The main entrance can also be reached barrier-free via the sides directly next to the stairs. We also have a door opener.

Are there accessible toilets?

We have a wheelchair toilet directly in the main entrance area

By public transport:

From Dortmund main station, take the underground line U45 to the REMYDAMM stop and then approx. 3 minutes' walk via the car park "E“ to our sports centre.

From Kirchhörde, take bus line 450 to the REMYDAMM stop, which is also approx. 3 minutes' walk via the "E“ car park to our sports centre.

From the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK stop, you can reach us after approx. 5 minutes' walk via the bridge that crosses Ardeystraße. The ERB RB59 train from Soest, RB 53 from Iserlohn and the RB 52 train from Lüdenscheid stop there.

We are easy to find and can also be easily reached without a car!

By bike

Our sports centre can be reached via the cycle paths on the Ardeystraße and B54. The safest way for cyclists to cross the roads is via the separate pedestrian and cycle paths. The cycle path then runs parallel to Victor-Toyka-Straße. Bicycle racks along the façade of the sports centre provide secure parking.

By car:

From the A45 onto the B 54 (Dortmund-Süd) to the Stadtkrone exit and then drive in the opposite direction again, following the brown signs.
From the B1 onto the B54 towards Hagen, take the second exit after the Shell petrol station (follow the brown signs).

TSC Eintracht Dortmund has a bistro called Toyka's. https://www.toykas.de You can get something to eat there.

It is located in the main TSC building, just 10 steps away from the competition hall.

You are also welcome to bring your own food and drink to consume outside the bistro.

There are numerous hotels in Dortmund, especially in the city centre.

Only participants and officials (persons authorised by Linn Schiffmann (organiser)) may enter the competition area.

Participants must be on site 15 minutes before the start of the competition.

Participants under the age of 18 are generally permitted. They must be accompanied by an adult. To take part in the individual competition, children under the age of 14 in particular should be able to solve a 500-piece puzzle independently in the required time and, if possible, have already done so several times.

If a participant is unable to attend, Linn Schiffmann reserves the right to nominate participants at short notice, e.g. on the basis of a waiting list.

Until the start of the competition is announced by an official and the stopwatch is started, the puzzle boxes must not be manipulated, unsealed or opened.

Officials will monitor the competition and note the times of the participants. If a competing person/pair/team is close to completing a puzzle, the person/pair/team should raise their arm to alert an official to record the time. After checking for completeness, the official will record the time and pass it on to the head judge.

After completing the puzzle, participants may leave the competition area early, taking all their belongings with them and taking care not to obstruct other participants. At the end of the competition, all participants should leave the competition area quickly with their belongings so that it can be prepared for the next competition.

If pieces are missing at the end of the puzzle, 10 seconds will be added to the final time for each lost piece.

If the puzzle is not completed in the allotted time, the officials will count and note the correctly placed pieces.

Sorting aids or plates may be used as aids. Box top holders are also permitted. Headphones are permitted as long as they do not disturb other participants.
Participants must bring their own aids for this purpose.

Any objects that change the height or arrangement of the tables are not permitted. Additional light sources are not permitted.

Any assistance during the competition from a person other than the participant may result in disqualification.

All puzzles used in the competition are the property of the participants after the competition has been completed.

The decisions of the judges during the competitions are final.

The organiser points out that pictures and film recordings will be made during the event and that these may be published on the Internet or other social media. By participating in this public event, the participant waives his/her "right to his/her own image".

The organiser is not liable for loss or theft of items of any kind.

In the event of cancellation or postponement of the championship for reasons beyond the control of Linn Schiffmann (organiser), Linn Schiffmann shall not be liable for any indirect expenses incurred by participants.

The official language during the entire weekend is German. If participants require a translation, please contact Linn Schiffmann before booking.

All competition puzzles are Linn Schiffmann ART. Puzzle.

Individual competition beginners: Eligible to participate are persons who have solved a 500 piece puzzle within 90 minutes in the period from 31 August 2022 - 31 August 2025 in LESS than 3 Speed Puzzling competitions (also online).
