The workshops will take place on Sat, 24.1.26 from 10 am to 6 pm. Registration entitles you to participate in all workshops of the day (except: participants must choose between the workshops of Fruzsi and Linn).

PUZZLE EXCHANGE

9am-6pm - GymDo II

The number of pieces in the exchange should be balanced, e.g. bring 3,000 pieces and take 3,000 pieces with you. Please pack the puzzle pieces in plastic and mark any missing pieces

SPEED PUZZLE DATING

9-9.45 am - Club Room

An introductory game for workshop participants. There are quick jigsaw puzzles (100-200 pieces) in the workshop room. 2 people do a puzzle together. Each puzzle also has cards with questions that the puzzlers can ask each other. As soon as a puzzle is finished, the participants look for a new puzzle and a new person to get to know ...

 

BUILDING EARRINGS FROM PUZZLE PIECES WITH FRUZSI WILHEIM or GLUEING ART FROM PUZZLE PIECES WITH LINN SCHIFFMANN

WATCH OUT!!! - Since Fruzsi can only look after a maximum of 6 people at the same time, this workshop is offered 3 times and a maximum of 18 people can participate. ALTERNATIVE to this, Linn offers a creative workshop where you can glue small works of art from puzzle pieces. There is space for a maximum of 36 people.

Make earrings from puzzle pieces together with Fruszi. 
 
Fruzsi Wilheim has been passionate about arts and crafts since she was a child. She is passionate about macramé, sewing, crocheting, embroidery and many other types of needlework. When she first participated in the Puzzle World Cup, she brought home-made earrings as gifts for other participants, and they became very popular. Since the 2024 World Cup, she has been selling jewellery made from puzzle pieces at various tournaments in and outside of Germany.

 

Gluing art from puzzle pieces with Linn Schiffmann

13.30 14.30 - Club Room

Linn Schiffmann (dey/deren), born 1990 in Dortmund, is a genderqueer artist. Dey works interdisciplinary between visual arts and literature and thematises identity, queerness and social power structures in her works. Also as the organiser of the ART in PIECES – Speed Puzzling Championship Dortmund, dey combines art with playful interaction.

My name is Kathi Reiner, I am 21 years old, a computer science student and above all a passionate (speed) puzzler.
In the last 3 years I have gained a lot of competition experience and also started to train consciously.
In doing so, I was able to find out some theoretical strategies, motor skills and mental aspects for competition situations.
In this workshop, I would like to pass on what has worked for me and others.
Puzzlers of all skill levels are welcome.

 

NEUROATHLETICS

11.15-12.15 - Clubroom

Neuroathletics helps to improve the cooperation of the brain hemispheres and communication of the brain with the extremities. There are various methods that can improve mobility, speed, coordination and responsiveness.
The two speakers from Brainletics present tools and methods that you can incorporate into your training and everyday life, as different methods can help each person.
